NFL, Nexune sign statistics deal

The Nigeria Football League and Nexune Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on a Ballstats project that will eventually earn the NFL 36 million naira.

After the signing of the MOU with the NFL at the NFL Asokoro, Abuja office last Thursday, the Managing Director of Nexune Limited, Dr. Olusegun Sanni said: "The agreement is centered on helping the NFL to create the information technology platform required to support international standard statistics generation, match data management, content provision and other vital e-business activities for the NFL.

"The initial focus of the agreement includes assisting the NFL in designing and implementing an advanced, interactive, and centrally managed web portal for statistics and content generation, and to maximize the ongoing use of NFL assets- including video footages, images, text, match data and other resources.
